This year at SIGKDD there will be a half day workshop/challenge on time series classification. In addition to a normal workshop the organizers will release 10 to 20 time series classification problems in mid-June. Participants will be invited to classify the datasets and submit their class predictions. At the workshop their will be a prize ceremony, and a debriefing/discussion on what methods work for what problems.

The organizers are interested in:

1. Attracting participants.
2. Donations of (labeled) challenge datasets.
3. Additional members for the PC (note that PC members and their students cannot participate in the challenge).
4. Corporate Sponsorship.
