We also recommend Drs. Hastie and Tibshirani's short course entitled
"Tools for Tall and Wide Data, State-of-the-Art Statistical Methods
for Data Analysis." They offer a broad overview of the field for
technically oriented modelers and analysts. Their coverage is vendor
neutral but they devote time to discussion of several Salford products
including CART(R), MARS(R), TreeNet(R) and RandomForests(R).
