The Portfolio Credit Risk Modeling Group at T-Mobile, USA is currently seeking a Statistician - Statistical Modeling who is a strong SAS user in data manipulation, and credit risk modeling development.

The incumbent is expected to utilize appropriate analytical/statistical methodology to develop and test statistical models to increase customer values.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with Business Manager/users to identify modeling opportunities and utilize the appropriate statistical method to develop and test models
  2. Work closely with IT Staff and vendor to implement any approved modeling solutions
  3. Leverage the internal data-mart to identify opportunity of increasing customer values such as segmentation scheme, customer behavior pattern etc.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree or higher in quantitative areas such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operation Research, or Computer Engineering with course works in Statistics
  2. 1 to 4 years of quantitative analytic modeling experience in using SAS/STAT, particularly logistic regression technique, SAS/SQL, and or data manipulation in PC-SAS or UNIX-SAS environment
  3. A "can-do" attitude and initiative attitude to identify business issue and propose and develop modeling solutions to the problems.
  4. Familiar with major credit bureau data attributes
  5. Strong oral communication, presentation and writing skills
  6. Fresh PhD graduates with exposure in credit risk modeling are also encouraged to apply
