Join the worlds largest technology distributor in an exciting position as a Senior Business Intelligence Data Mining Analyst! SUMMARY The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing data mining/business intelligence analytics to generate knowledge and data insight about Ingram Micros customers, vendors, products and operations. Other responsibilities include database and data mining platform maintenance, extensive SQL programming and analytical report generation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Education: BS or MS/PHD degree with emphasis on quantitative analysis (i.e. statistics, econometrics, mathematical modeling, data mining, computer sciences) required OR 4 years related external experience OR 2 years related Ingram Micro experience . Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years experience in analysis of large data sets, focused on mathematical modeling, statistical modeling or data mining. Expertise in major data mining platforms and applications (i.e. IBM Intelligent Miner, SAS Enterprise Miner); experience using major statistical analysis packages (i.e. SPSS, SAS Stats); strong working knowledge of relational databases and database management (i.e. DB2, MS SQL Server); advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Access, SQL. Basic knowledge of commonly used marketing principles and techniques. Minimum kinds of knowledge, skills and abilities required to do this job:
