Upgrading conventional data mining to scalable data mining is through the use of a method termed the "Scalable Learning Machine" or "SLM". Our motivation in composing this website is to help anyone interested to understand the method and to implement it for their application. The website provides details on implementation of scalable data mining and a free software program that can be used for non-commercial purposes to implement it. We welcome all questions and are eager to see the utilization of this method in different applications. We are also looking forward to using this website for our new graduate course, "Data Mining in Engineering" (CHE1147H) to be delivered in the Fall of 2007 at the University of Toronto.
