Previous KDnuggets Poll (Nov 2007) asked:
When will 10% improvement over the baseline, required for Netflix Grand Prize, be reached?

About 1/3 of the respondents were pessimistic and replied never - a similar percentage in the same poll a year ago ( 2006 KDnuggets Poll on Netflix Grand Prize - when?)

The median prediction of the remaining respondents was July-September 2008 - which seems very reasonable, considering that the current best result is already 8.5% over the baseline, and only needs an additional 1.5% improvement to qualify for the Netflix Grand Prize.
