Position Description
Develop predictive models for high-visibility, high-revenue customers in the finance, retail and telecommunications industries utilizing a variety of statistical, machine learning, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence algorithms, including neural networks, decision trees, logistic regression, clustering and others.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory data analysis and data cleaning on large datasets; validate and prepare data for model development.
• Execute all stages of model development, including data definition, sampling, preprocessing, feature selection, model generation, and validation and support of production model release.
• Develop software applications for data preprocessing and algorithm implementation.
• Propose enhancements to existing proprietary and third party algorithms and analytics processes, develop prototypes, and conduct comparative performance studies.
• Work with customers in identifying business and data requirements. Coordinate with internal business and technology units to ensure all analytics projects achieve the target business and technical objectives.
• Present a variety of technical topics to both technical and non-technical customers, prospects and internal management.
• Position is located in Providence, R.I.
• Travel: 10-15%

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with statistical, machine learning, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, and/or data mining techniques applied to real world problems.
• Knowledge of dimensionality reduction and feature selection techniques.
• Experience with analysis of large datasets.
• Software development skills in C / C++. Familiar with software design principles and coding standards.
• Experience using relational databases (SQL) and data mining/data analysis tools (SPSS, Statistica, SAS).
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong team player with good communication and presentation skills.
• US citizen or permanent resident.
