January 22, 2008. RiverGlass Inc., a Champaign-based software company that uses data-mining technology developed at the University of Illinois, said Monday that it has raised an additional $2.4 million in venture-capital financing and will use funds to expand its product-development and sales operation.

Since its founding as a commercial venture in 2003, the company has received multiple rounds of venture-capital investment, including a $4 million infusion a year ago.

The University of Illinois spinout develops software designed to organize, analyze and manage streaming data in real time.
