Job Summary:

In this new Senior role, the Data manager will be responsible for managing all of CIDCs Data and Metadata Resources, including Data Quality, Data Security and Access, Accounting Controls and Stewardship Works with Both the Technical and Business communities to maximize corporate competitive advantages from use of our Data Assets. Ensures Data Consumers have confidence in the quality of BICC Data Products.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate in the development and maintenance of the CADS Enterprise Business Intelligence Roadmap.

Develops and Implements a long-term data quality strategy, which is focused on analyzing core data to identify quality gaps, implementing reporting processes to track data quality improvements over time, Harmonizing Data definitions and Names used in current and future systems, defining and prioritizing high-value data quality projects and managing the project to completion by partnering with IT and Business Areas.

Work with Product Managers and Data Consumers to identify and drive Reporting and Analytics Data Acquisition strategies.

Establish and Manage a Data Stewardship Program and Process for Enterprise and Master Data Management including Data Protection and Data Security.

Define, Capture, and Publish Corporate Business, Operational, and Technical Metadata.

Manage Third Party Vendor compliance and establish policies to minimize risks concerning the mishandling or disclosure of Corporate and Customer Data. Identify Data Quality Issues Associated with existing Operational Systems Impacting Corporate Reporting or Analytics, and work with Product Managers and Technical Designers for Remediation.

Experience:

• Four or More years experience using relational database technologies is required.
• Extensive knowledge of Data Warehouse TELL systems and data cleansing is required
• Solid Understanding and skills in data profiling is required.
• Ability to perform creditable cost-benefit and RIO analysis is required.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Demonstrated mastery of technical writing

• A Bachelors Degree is required. MS or MBA is preferred
• Experience with data cleansing and scrubbing tools such as FirstLogic ( Business Objects XI), Group1, Trillium or similar products.
• IT or Financial Auditing Experience or Exposure is Preferred
• Product Management Experience is Preferred
• Solid Understanding of Elementary Statistics (e.g. Mean, Mode, Confidence Levels etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation writing skills
• Proven interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Self starter that is process centric, standards and best practices driven
• Demonstrated team player with results-oriented track record
