We are currently seeking a bright, far-thinking individual for the role of Director / Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Data Management. In this role you will cultivate the strategic potential of sharing ISO's analytics expertise and data capabilities across the ISO family of companies.

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  1. Work with Enterprise Data Administrator in documenting and supporting Enterprise Data Strategies.
  2. Work with Enterprise Data Administrator in coordinating data issues across the enterprise.
  3. Provide overall guidance regarding data management issues.
  4. Support corporate efforts to enable ISO to create new information and products from available data and explore new methods of collecting data, including
    • R & D support
    • Manufacture data from current sources and deliver to business units
    • Acquisition of new and different data
    • Assist with evaluation of new software tools (for example, ETL, text mining ...)
    • Maintenance and update of an enterprise metadata resource.
    • Maintain and staff a secured enterprise data lab.
  5. Support of enterprise data policies and guidelines.
  6. Support ISO Analytics Council activities.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Good understanding of the business of insurance and how it relates to data and analytics.
  2. Working knowledge of managing large, complex and rapidly changing data transmissions and how these data can be packaged for use in analytics.
  3. Proven strong data management abilities.
  4. Successful completion of IDMA, CAS or other insurance-related or data-related exams. CIDM, AIDM, FCAS, ACAS, FSA, CPCU, ACLU or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
  5. 10+ years experience with defining and specifying data acquisition processes and/or manufacturing data for analytical use.
  6. Prior supervisory experience a plus.
  7. Demonstrated experience facilitating and championing ongoing initiatives across departments/organizations.
  8. Superior communication skills.
  9. Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree a plus, but not required.
  10. Willing to travel periodically travel (5%) to meet with current and potential clients.
