The Corporate Communications Department of Institut EURECOM invites applications for a tenured faculty position at the Associate Professor level. The candidate is expected to extend the current research domains of the department by leading a new activity in the area of large scale distributed data centers. While targeting practical application scenarios in his/her research, the candidate is also expected to carry out fundamental research in one of the following areas:

• Data mining
• Internet Algorithmics
• Secure data storage and retrieval

A first screening will begin June 1st, 2008 and the search will continue until the position is filled.

EURECOM
Institut Eurecom (http://www.eurecom.fr) is a graduate school in communication systems founded in 1992 by EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne) and Telecom Paristech (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications). Eurécom's activity includes research and graduate teaching in networking, security, multimedia and mobile communications. Eurécom currently counts about 19 professors, 10 post-docs, 170 M. S. and 60 Ph. D. students. Eurécom is involved in several European research projects and joint collaborations with industry.
