Analysis on data that contain zero "0" value

I'm going to do analysis on dengue fever case. The variable been used as target variable is the number of daily admission on dengue fever cases in one hospital.

FYI, i'm doing the analysis on dengue fever with relation to climate variable. So, i'm analysing the effect of climate change to the number of dengue case in [b]one particular town[/b] in my country. I'm thinking of analysing this data using Neural Network.

My problem is: There is certain day that the admission for the dengue case is zero. So can I do the data mining analysis on the daily data eventhough for certain days the value is zero? My lecturer doubt that it can be used, instead he suggest me to used weekly aggregate data but i'm still think that it would not show real desire result compare to using daily data.

Any advice or comment for my problem?
