In this capacity you will manage all aspects of complex Departmental or Division projects. Negotiates project objectives and direction with senior managers. Projects vary in scope and duration. This role is positioned within Workforce Planning in Liberty Mutual's Personal Markets business unit. This position will create data analytics, reporting and predictive modeling that will guide senior management and human resource strategies across the business.

You will have a demonstrated history of working with senior managers to understand business requirements, vision and growth plans. This role will require strong project management skills and equal analytical abilities to determine project and reporting needs. This is a key role that will work in conjunction with the business units to help Liberty Mutual build robust, best in class workforce planning strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates the overall platform and format for effectively delivering workforce data
  • Operates as the senior level functional expert for workforce analysis within the business unit, including keeping abreast of industry trends and external benchmarks
  • Transforms data from various sources, requiring the expert use of sophisticated query and reporting, statistical transformation, regression analysis, extraction and presentation tools (Preferred Computer Skills knowledge includes ACCESS, SAS, SPSS, ORACLE)
  • Oversees requests for data and analysis and produces regular workforce reports
  • Ensures consistent application of workforce data definitions and attributes, verifies accuracy and quality of all data and metrics
  • Ensures a thorough understanding of Strategic Business Unit goals, metrics and reporting needs
  • Uses appropriate external benchmarks for workforce metrics and Key Performance Indicators that are linked to business goals and results
  • Works closely with the Personal Markets Human Resources VP and the Manager of Workforce Planning on a variety of business unit wide projects
Requirements
Graduate degree in related field or equivalent training required. Minimum of 5 years progressively more responsible experience in a financial and/or project management environment with exposure to project planning, simulation, modeling, capital budgeting, cost benefit analysis and information systems development required. Strong negotiation skills also required. Minimum of 2 years of management experience required. Recent MBA Graduates encouraged to apply.
