Job Description: This role leads development and execution of analytics, measurement, and underlying data planning that create member insights informing member segment strategies for club support across membership, marketing, merchandising, and operations. The leader in this role is responsible to:

  • ensure that Sam's Club has best-in-class analytics, measurement, and data strategies in support supporting member- and business strategies
  • improve the reputation of MI&I a best-practice provider of member insights
  • guide continuous innovation and creation of new measurement solutions to accelerate learnings from treatment strategies including, but not limited to, member communications and migration strategies
  • increase the relevancy and expectation for rigorous measurement and insightful analyses across Sam's Club
  • attract, develop and retain the best talent to the MI&I team - and maintain a great place to work environment
  • assess and take action to ensure internal customer satisfaction with analytics services and deliverables
  • direct development and integration of advanced analytics and offer optimization initiatives, which include aligning resources from MI&I, ISD, Marketing, Membership, eCommerce, and external analytics and technology partners
  • direct the development and infusion of advanced measurement capabilities into Sam's Club to accelerate the test-learn-modify cycle
Job Requirements:
  • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Quantitative Marketing, Statistics, Math, Economics or related quantitative field, or significant work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in an client-side, service or consulting team leadership role
  • Expertise in CRM, loyalty marketing, or other customer-centric environments
  • Experience managing high-performing teams
  • Specific experience in advanced analytic techniques applied to customer valuation, marketing ROI, design of experiment, and segmentation
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion to tackle
