nXn Tech is a new technology company developing advanced data mining, machine learning, and information retrieval solutions for the internet advertising, business intelligence, and knowledge management domains.

We are looking for outstanding data-mining researchers to join our talented team in Minneapolis, MN. The candidate will be working with scientists and senior developers in a collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform research in the areas of web data analysis, (web) information retrieval, online advertising, social networks, and information extraction.
• Rapid prototyping of new algorithmic ideas and concepts
• Lead product development of proven algorithmic ideas and concepts

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline with a research focus in the areas of machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, and information extraction. (Ph.D. candidates closer to the completion will be also considered).
• Outstanding researchers with a Master's degree in CS or related field with 5+ years of rich industry experience will also be considered.
• Proven knowledge of data mining and machine learning methods and tools.
• Demonstrated expertise and desire to work hands-on in analyzing and modeling large data sets.
• Experience in exploratory data analysis and in data mining processes.
• Software development skills (C/C++, Perl, Java, SQL, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand business requirements and lead or supervise small team of developers.
• Team spirit and ability to aggressively execute independently.
