As an Senior Intelligence Analyst in our Claims Special Investigation Unit, you will perform business research that's designed to improve business processes and support decisions that contribute to the growth of profitable business.

This position reports to the Assistant Director - SIU, with responsibility for conducting fraud-related research utilizing information contained within Liberty Mutual and/or externally and for developing hypotheses and testing theories of potential indicators for suspected fraud from the various applications and systems. The selected candidate will work closely with SIU Management to support new and ongoing fraud research initiatives and identify suspicious changes in claiming behavior through data analysis, and will be required to create and distribute monthly reports and give periodic presentations to internal and external departments with results and recommendations. Strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the organization are required. Ability to travel to Branch and Regional Offices is also required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare various internal managerial reports, presentations and analyses to support monthly operating processes and management strategic decision-making.
• Perform analyses to uncover potential fraudulent trends and patterns within disparate datasets.
• Participate in analyzing and reporting on economic-driven fraud forecasts.
• Assist with special projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Business Administration and minimum of three years of financial or statistical work experience.
• MBA or other related Masters Degree highly desirable.
• Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link potential fraud indicators to operational performance drivers, able to analyze trends and provide possible solution alternatives.
• Clear thinking / problem solving / able to quickly grasp new ideas.
• Excellent communication skills: able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.
• Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to meet required deadlines while producing quality solutions.
• Ability to perform in a highly motivated, self-directed and well-organized manner.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and Vlookups.
• Knowledge of SAS a plus.
