SIGKDD is the premiere association for advancing research and applications in the knowledge discovery and data mining field.

Every 4 years SIGKDD holds elections and from Apr 1 to June 15 is the voting period in the 2009 election.

I am very excited to present the excellent slate of candidates, nominated by myself and Jiawei Han (who is also not running for re-election).

KDnuggets Readers who are also SIGKDD members should have already received a postcard or other note from ACM for voting in the SIGKDD election.

ACM SIGKDD Members can vote at ACM Election site until Jun 15, 2009.

Everyone, however, can participate in this SIGKDD Election Poll. Usually, only 10% or so vote in SIG elections, so let's break this record and have high voter participation in 2009 SIGKDD election.
