We currently seek a Software Support Specialist in our Chicago office. In this role the Software Support Specialist will positively manage the customer experience while documenting and troubleshooting their reported product issues. This is NOT an IT Help Desk role. It is external facing and requires a working knowledge of basic statistical concepts (the equivalent of 2 college course in statistics). 30% of the calls relate to how to install software; 70% of the calls relate to how to use our products.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on the customer's satisfaction with the software while working towards a resolution to the reported problem
- Contribute to the customer's experience by assisting in their understanding of how to effectively use the software. Fully document resolutions and proactively communicate issues with the global support team
- Work both independently and as a member of the team with minimal guidance while managing numerous tasks
Requirements:
- Strong customer service orientation
- Working current knowledge of OS such as networks, UNIX, Sun Solaris, Windows, firewalls and connectivity
- Some experience with data points, predictive analytics and statistics
- A basic Knowledge of SQL and database architectures
