The Bing Data Mining team has an exciting opportunity for an analytical program manager who can delve into data to understand user behaviors with search, influence business decision making, and contribute to the development of new models of user satisfaction and engagement -- all in partnership with smart and innovative teammates. In this role, you will:

Work closely with Bing feature teams to understand their analysis needs Conduct analyses to measure customer engagement and satisfaction with new Search features Participate in technical investigations and prototyping Design tools and contribute to initiatives needed to develop a data-oriented culture Serve as a mentor to others in data analysis best practices

Success in this role requires that you can juggle multiple projects and priorities; synthesize large amounts of information into crisp recommendations; present and defend analyses and recommendations to a variety of audiences. You excel at cross-group communication and know how to resolve obstacles and deliver results. You are detail-oriented with an ability to grasp the “big picture”.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a high tech environment. Proficiency with T-SQL and Excel is a must, as is the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s degree with emphasis in data mining or statistics preferred. Familiarity with search engines, data warehousing and OLAP, and web technologies is a plus.
