Tessera Enterprise Systems is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial CRM
strategy consulting and systems integration organization with offices
in Wakefield, San Francisco, and Frankfurt. (for more info about Tessera

Location 
This position exists in our Wakefield office.  Wakefield is
15 minutes north of Boston, 20 minutes to the airport, conveniently
located on Route 128.

Director - Quantitative Methods/Data Mining

This position plays a critical role in building our Data Mining
Practice. One third of the role is dedicated to business development
and posturing the value of data mining as a part of the total CRM
solution with Fortune 100 clients.  Significant responsibility in RFP
response, client presentations, and professional conference speaking
engagements.

Lead the Quantitative Methods Group of Analysts in the delivery of
projects, development of skills and value added proposition as a part
of the Marketing strategy organization.  Participate as a member of
the delivery team and on occasion contribute to the hands on
completion of key strategic implementations.

 Finally, the director will ensure knowledge transfer of the systems
 and client satisfaction.  This includes internal client/staff
 training, preparation of business process changes, and insure the
 ability of the client to fully understand, implement and gain value
 from the information portion of the solution in ways that add
 significant and measurable value to the overall business strategy of
 the client company.

Critical Skills and Requirements: 

15+ years of Analytic Team Leadership experience engaged in building
and designing classification and prediction models -typically in a
financial, direct marketing, or telecommunications firms. Experience
with marketing segmentation schemes, factor analysis, cluster analysis
is required. Knowledge of neural networks, decision tree algorithms,
genetic algorithms, k-nearest neighbors, and fuzzy logic is
preferred. Candidates should be well versed on SAS in a UNIX
environment. A good understanding of key direct marketing and
statistical principles is necessary. Exceptional business development
and presentation skills are required.  Recognized leader, speaker,
mentor, and expert in the areas of Database Marketing Analytics and
Quantitative Methods in a Direct Marketing or Consultative
Environment.  An evangelist in the field, ability to manage teams and
effectively influences existing and prospective clients in the value
of the quantitative side of the CRM solutions.  Effective speaker,
superb client consultative skills and strong presence.  Lastly, this
candidate will need to be open to travel as necessary in the 30-40%
range.

Compensation:

Compensation will represent an equity position in the company.  Base
salary with an Incentive Program tied to revenue, intellectual capital
growth objectives, and measured client satisfaction with deliverables.
