The MineSet development team currently has a number of openings.
MineSet is Silicon Graphics' data mining and visualization tool
(http://mineset.sgi.com). We are looking for qualified people to
fill the following positions:

Data Mining Specialist
This position involves development of data mining algorithms.
In addition to researching and implementing new algorithms,
the position will require enhancing and extending the library
of existing algorithms used in MineSet.  Experience developing
machine learning, data mining, or statistical analysis algorithms
is required.  Expertise in one of the following areas would be a
significant advantage: association rule generation, decision trees,
regression techniques, clustering, probabilistic modeling,
neural networks, time series analysis, rule induction, or
parallel programming.  Excellent programming skills and the
ability to communicate effectively are essential.  Knowledge
of C/C++ is required.  Experience with Unix and NT/Windows is
desirable.  Education MS or above in CS or Statistics.

Data Base Specialist
This position involves development of database access, data
management, and data transformation methods.  It will involve
extending MineSet's existing connectivity architecture to
utilize new technologies as they become available.  Excellent
programming skills, extensive experience programming in C/C++,
and in depth knowledge of relational data base technology are
required.  Experience with Oracle and SQL server is essential.
Familiarity with OLAP (OLE-DB for OLAP and OLAPI) would be a plus.
Experience with one or more software component technologies, such
as COM or enterprise Java Beans, highly desirable.  Education MS
in CS or equivalent industry experience.
