Analytic Data Mining Software Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research and development of algorithms for analytic data mining, machine
learning, and statistics, to support knowledge discovery in databases and
business intelligence applications. Develop enhancements to MineSet Data Mining
and Visualization tool suite to support improved functionality and efficiency.
Communicate an understanding of these algorithms to third parties developing
business intelligence applications with MineSet.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:  Ph.D. or MS in Computer Science or related discipline with
concentration in data mining or machine learning.  Knowledge of relational
databases. Fluency in C++.
Desirable:  Experience with software development on Unix and Windows NT.
Experience with COM or Corba. Fluency in Java.

Database Software Engineer for Data Mining

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and development of scalable data management software supporting access,
mining, manipulation, and visualization of data at the core of the MineSet Data
Mining and Visualization tool suite.  Specific responsibilities will be in the
area of database access, data transformations, optimization of transformation
and/or client-server interaction.  Software development platforms include
Windows NT and Unix.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:  Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline,
fluency in C/C++, 2 years experience developing database kernels or client
applications, experience with Oracle.
Desirable:  Ph.D., Java experience, familiarity with ODBC, COM, OLEDB, SQL
Server.
