Software Design Engineer: high-performance databases Job number SDE121

You will design and implement a system for managing a large, complex
database which grows rapidly, is distributed and replicated, and supports
queries and data mining. You must have excellent design and coding skills
with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and in an aggressive,
small team environment. You should have at least 4 years of experience in
development of complex database systems, thorough knowledge of the design,
operation, internals, and optimization of databases, good knowledge of SQL
and Oracle databases, and a strong background in C/C++. A BS or MS in
computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work
experience is required. Depending on your skills and interests, you may also
supervise other software design engineers.
