We are looking for candidates for a post-doctorate position. We are considering candidates with background or interest in on or more of the following areas (applications need not be restricted to these areas): * Data Mining * Statistics * Database Systems The candidate will conduct research in the area of data mining and statistics. The appointment is offered in the framework of a National Science and Technology Board (NSTB) Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme. The appointment will be tenable for a period of two years. A stipend of S$3000 per month will be paid. In addition an allowance of S$500 per month will be provided and is intended as a token of contribution towards accomodation and other expenses. Both stipend and allowance are taxable. A settling allowance and travel subsidy, payable once only, of S$2000 will be given. Holiday leave and medical leave will be provided. The candidate shall have a Ph.D. degree for no longer than two years. The candidate should not be older than 35 years.
