KXEN DATA MINING WORKSHOPS focus on a powerful, predictive, and
descriptive data modeling technology that can benefit both data mining
professionals and business decision makers Vapniks
Statistical Learning Theory including the Support Vector Machine (SVM).

YOU WILL LEARN:
* How this powerful technology can instantly transform your data into knowledge
* The Vapnik theory and how it can be applied to modeling techniques such as
classification and regression
* How you can build and interpret robust descriptive and predictive models in a
fraction of the time it takes with traditional methods

YOU WILL TAKE HOME:
* Come with your own data set; create models in seconds or minutes on your laptop and
leave with free evaluation software to use at your office*
* Educational material
* KXEN software documentation and related materials*
* Upon signing an evaluation agreement

INSTRUCTORS BIO:

* Robert Cooley has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of
Minnesota. Dr. Cooley has had several years of experience applying
Vapnik theory to a variety of domains. Prior to joining KXEN,
Dr. Cooley was a data mining consultant specializing in CRM and
E-commerce, and has worked for several software startups. Dr. Cooley
has published numerous papers on the topics of Web Mining and Text
Mining and is a member of the ACM and IEEE.

* Nitin Agrawal has several years of experience architecting and
implementing CRM, data warehousing, and data mining systems. Nitin
has also been involved in product development and management of data
mining workbenches. Prior to joining KXEN, Nitin has worked with
Epiphany where he successfully managed and implemented several large
scale CRM projects and data warehouses. Nitin also spend several
years with Urban Science where he was responsible for product
development and management for GainSmarts data mining product. Nitin
has a masters degree from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor of
engineering from Indian Institute of Technology.

* Kevin Watanabe has a M.S. in Biostatistics from the University of
Hawaii. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Computational
Statistics at the School of Computational Sciences, George Mason
University. Prior to joining KXEN, he was Director of Biostatistics
specializing in pharmaceutical research. For five years he served as
Senior Study Director on studies monitoring the U.S. blood and plasma
supply for retroviruses. After completing his M.S., he conducted
studies of occupational exposure to carcinogens among veterans exposed
to herbicides, atmospheric nuclear tests, and chemical warfare
agents. He has published and presented numerous biomedical papers and
