The latest KDnuggets poll, conducted between Sep 4 and 18, asked the question:

Several readers expressed a desire for holding KDD-03 conference in
Europe. Please note that KDD-2003 is the main North American-based
conference on Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery. There are several
European-based meetings on data mining, including PKDD-01, Principles
of Knowledge Discovery in Databases, which was recently held in
