Mitch Kapor quits Groove Networks in protest against TIA

Mar 12, 2003. Mitch Kapor, a software pioneer and privacy advocate, has quit the board of Groove Networks Inc. after it sold collaboration software to Total Information Awareness Office, a controversial Department of Defense surveillance project, which is developing a data-mining system to identify potential terrorists.
