Psychogenics, Inc. is a small and growing company developing new methods for CNS drug discovery. Their focus is on developing in vivo behavioral assays and data mining methods to discover new drugs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a talented programmer to prototype new bioinformatics algorithms and develop an integrated drug discovery software system based on successful algorithms. This position involves working on a team including PhDs from various bioinformatics related fields and other software people.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS or MS in Computer Science
• Strong C, C++ and/or Java programming skills
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industry experience, but we are willing to consider new graduates.

• Knowledge of statistics and data mining algorithms.
• Experience applying common data mining algorithms on real data sets.
• Experience with SQL and database APIs.
• Experience with GUI design and development.
• Familiarity with common commercial data mining and statistical packages.
