We currently seek a Solutions Architect with SPSS, in our Chicago office, or Worldwide, U.S. location. The Solutions Architect (SA) should be a state-of-the-art technologist with current skills in predictive analytics, programming, and RDBMS. The SA will be asked to contribute to the sales life cycle from, technical pre-sales, solution delivery teams and post sales endorsement with insight into business processes and predictive analytics solutions. The SA should be equally comfortable with "C" level executive presentations and with hands-on data mining techniques. The SA should be able to architect a predictive analytic solution for clients and as such must have several years experience delivering technology systems within the corporate environment. The SA will need to be able to confidently provide technical expertise and leadership within a consultative role and should be able to work independently and as a thought leader. The SA role may require over 50% travel to client locations.

In addition, you will:

• Focus and understand Business Solutions with sensitivity to business priorities.
• Contribute to pre-sales opportunities with ability to architect a predictive analytic solution, provide technical expertise and perform complex proof-of-concept innovations.
• Assist with maintaining the customers' business "vision" through the services implementation phase.
• Provide customer continuity between the presales and post sales periods.
• Have the ability to implement various SPSS client/server products, including Clementine & SPSS Base
• Be innovative of new data mining methodologies and approaches
• Be innovative of new predictive analytics solutions
• Maintain substantial client on-site presence with client communication and organizational skills required
• Prioritize client initiated projects, including analytic and data mining projects

Requirements include:

• At least 5 years solid data mining experience
• Strong knowledge of statistics and artificial intelligence
• RDBMS experience, including relational schema, SQL and ODBC
• Programming background with significant work in 1 or more major languages
• Experience with SPSS Clementine or other graphical workbench environment.
• Experience with SPSS base product desirable
• Campaign Management experience desirable
• Fraud and Risk Management experience desirable
• Experience with Operations Research desirable
• Experience with Text Mining desirable
• Experience with Web Mining desirable
• Advanced degree desirable
• Strong self-motivation and self-direction attributes
