If you are intrigued by the challenge of building highly scalable, reliable software in a dynamic team environment, and you are excited by the thought that millions will see your work every day, then Yahoo! is the employer for you. You must have a SOLID background in object-oriented programming using C/C++ and be ready to learn and apply new technology in a flash. You must also be proficient with PERL and be comfortable developing in a UNIX environment. The ideal candidate will already have experience BUILDING DYNAMIC WEB SITES and THE BACK END SERVERS that feed them. Any experience with using or developing search and matching technologies will be a big plus. You should also be familiar with SQL and RELATIONAL DATABASES. You must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant WEB APPLICATION or SERVER DEVELOPMENT experience and a BSCS/MSCS or equivalent is required.
