Job Description
The goal of this position is to reduce the healthcare inflation and
also improve the quality of care for Caterpillar employees and
dependents. This would involve working with several research
institutions such as University Of Illinois, School of Medicine, in
Peoria. Researchers/Physicians come up with ideas for improving the
quality of care and reduce the waste in the healthcare delivery
process. This position would support the research projects with data
analysis and also with biostatistical methodology support to prove or
disprove the hypotheses. This position will also work with corporate
medical to implement care management programs and work with 6 sigma
teams to design cost effective benefit plans for Caterpillar employees
and dependents.
Minimum Qualifications:
The position requires at least a B.S. degree
in Biostatsitics, or Epidemiology, or Data Mining or related field. In
addition, 2 years of responsible healthcare-related experience is
required. Good human relation skills are required to develop a
cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside
Caterpillar.
Highly Desired:
A M.S./Ph. D. in Biostatistics, or Epidemiology or
related field is desired. Research Experience in the health care area
would be beneficial. A self-starter with incredible energy to pursue
higher goals is desired.
