The Market Data / Time Series Engineering team develops, integrates, maintains and operates processes and database systems that collect, store and distribute historic and real-time tick market data around the globe. The engineering and development of these systems in a proactive manner is the core function of this position.

Skills Required

  • Strong scripting skills in Perl, ksh
  • Solid SQL knowledge
  • Application DBA and Development experience in one of Sybase, Informix, DB2
  • UNIX/Linux
  • Development with Sys Admin knowledge
  • Compiled language skills: C/C++
  • Some knowledge of financial markets
  • Experience dealing with large database systems and datasets
  • Solid communication skills
  • Self-starter, self-manager
  • Strong team player
Skills Desired

  • Prior experience in financial data manipulation (historic and/or real-time)
  • Prior experience with time series database systems (Fame, Lim, Informix, MSDB)
  • Java
Because you will have privileged access to proprietary trading and risk strategies and algorithms this job is a full time commitment. No contractors.
