The MS&E Department at Stanford University invites applications for two tenure-track junior faculty appointments (Assistant or untenured Associate Professor) beginning September 2005. We are seeking applicants from all disciplines represented within our department, including decision and risk analysis, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, information science and technology, optimization, public policy, production and operations management, probability, strategy, systems analysis, as well as work, technology and organizations. Higher priority will be given to the overall innovation, impact, and promise of the candidate's work than to any specific area.

An earned Ph.D., evidence of the ability to pursue a research program, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching are required. Successful candidates will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and to build and lead a team of graduate students in Ph.D. research.

The Application deadline is March 1, 2005. Applicants should submit their curriculum vitae, any completed research papers, an official graduate transcript, brief statements of research and teaching interests and four letters of recommendation to:
