Description:
You will verify the numerical accuracy of predictive modeling procedures, which includes procedures based on recursive partitioning.
Also included in your duties is writing and maintaining SAS test programs; obtaining debugging information for failed tests; evaluating testing coverage; researching technical literature; reviewing documentation; providing feedback to developers; and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience programming in SAS.
- Advanced degree in statistics or a closely related quantitative field.
- Excellent knowledge of a decision tree methodology, such as C4.5 or Classification and Regression Trees.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Unix operating systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use prior probabilities to adjust estimated probabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferences:
- Experience with SAS/Base, SAS/STAT, SAS/IML, and/or SAS/Macro.
- Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages.
- Ph.D. in statistics or a related quantitative field.
- Familiarity with software testing techniques.
