Data Miners is looking for a SAS and SQL programmer/analyst with some exposure to statistical modeling, good communications skills, and good intuition for the relationship between data and business problems.

In addition to excellent SAS and SQL programming skills, the ideal candidate has

• Some background in statistics and data analysis.
• Experience with large relational databases.
• The ability to work independently -- to see what needs doing and do it.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Take customer data from a wide variety of sources to build the customer signatures used for predictive modeling.
• Take ideas and algorithms expressed in English and turn them into useful SAS programs.
• Take fragments of code produced by analysts who are not programmers and turn them into applications with sensible interfaces that can be delivered to a customer.
