Health Discovery Corporation (OTCBB:HDVY) ("HDC") today announced that it has been granted a patent from the Norwegian Patent Office (#20015723) related to multiple applications covering Support Vector Machine ("SVM") methods. In addition, HDC also announced the issuance of an additional U.S. patent related to its Fractal Genomic Modeling ("FGM") technology (U.S. Patent No. 6,920,451).

The newly issued Norwegian patent (Norwegian Patent #20015723) covers a tiered arrangement of SVM's that provides for the analysis of multiple datasets, such as distinct data types, to produce a single output. One application of this inventive technology is in breast cancer diagnosis, in which a diagnosis can be performed using a combination of mammography image data and gene expression data.
