Subject: Roseland, NJ: Senior Manager, Global Market Analytics (Management Science) at Organon

BASIC FUNCTION:
To function as the team leader and implement strategies in support of Organon International clients across therapeutic franchises with advanced analytics and decision support systems.

REPORTS TO: Director, Global Market Analytics (Management Science)

NATURE AND SCOPE:

  • Collaborate independently with internal constituencies including but not limited to: global marketing and sales teams, global venture teams, world regional officers, finance, and business development.
  • Provide global analysis expertise including forecasting for in-line products and early stage compounds, field force effectiveness, multi-channel promotion vs. response assessments, and portfolio resource optimization.
  • Design and deliver decision support and dashboard systems to drive business decisions.
  • All activities are aimed at maximizing Organon�s commercial success.
  • The incumbent must scope and manage multi-vendor projects and present findings directly to clients.
  • Domestic or international travel may be required for business purposes: approximately 20%.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Function as a proactive member of a global marketing therapeutic multi-compound franchise, providing input for strategic and operational planning activities.

2. Design and execute statistical analyses to accurately assess strategic international marketing and sales business issues.

3. Present analytical findings and business implications to global team members and senior management

4. Create, validate and refine forecasts for early-stage compounds and in-line products, new indications and line extensions, new market opportunities and co-promotional agreements.

5. Work with Global Marketing and Sales to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for product performance and to track promotional investments and campaigns.

6. Design and deliver global dashboards and decision support systems that track these KPIs and evaluate promotions.

7. Contribute to development and maintenance of worldwide therapeutic category market definitions

8. Maintain relationships with key vendors of secondary data, software, and consulting services.

9. Partner with functional areas throughout Organon.

10. Interact with all levels of the organization internally and globally.

11. Consistently demonstrate and support XLence program philosophy and behaviors.

12. Perform all duties in accordance with the Akzo Nobel�s Business Principles, corporate directives, SOPs and PPGs, government and industry regulations and guidelines.

13. Perform other relevant tasks as requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master�s or Bachelor�s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or Computer Science.

2. A minimum of three (3) years experience in an analytical position supporting Marketing and Sales in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or the healthcare industry.

3. Technical knowledge and experience in the areas of predictive modeling, behavioral segmentation, time-series analysis, simulation, response assessment or resource optimization.

4. Experience developing forecasting models leveraging IMS sales, epidemiology data, analogue product launches, and market research. International experience preferred.

5. Experience with sales force effectiveness studies, preferably international.

6. Proficiency with SAS and SQL required. Experience with multivariate statistical techniques and software including regression and clustering are preferred.

7. Experience developing dashboard or decision support software for sales and marketing clients is preferred.

8. Multi-vendor project management experience, including providing analytical guidance and deliverable specifications.

9. Routine use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.

10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with multiple levels of management.

11. Proven capabilities in strategic thinking; ability to develop and recommend strategic actions based on analytic results.

12. Experience effectively working in a global matrix team, across a range of functions, seniority and geography.

13. Ability to work on complex projects with minimal supervision.

14. Ability to manage a complex workload.

15. Excellent presentation skills.

16. Expert project and time management ability, and process management skills.

17. Full proficiency in spoken and written English language, proficiency in second major language preferred.

18. High level of energy, enthusiasm and commitment.

19. Flexibility to travel internationally/domestically for business purposes: approximately 20%.
