Marie Risov, Data mining as Developing Technology
I placed myself into the Analyst/Practitioner category, but could easily
add the Educator one if such existed. I have noticed a long time ago
that the type of data analysis sought by various industries has plenty
of common ground. That leads to direct translation of data mining value
statements from one industry to another. In fact the majority of new
technologies go through a "bubble" development stage and consolidate
into more general offering as soon as the commonalities are understood.

Hi I work for a Market Researh firm as Data Analyst and uses various
