ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an information technology leader with First USA Bank, it is your
responsibility to coordinate the appropriate business and IT resources
in order to bring about new system and business process solutions.  A
project needing immediate staffing is an effort to develop a customer
contact database.  This database will be used by the Marketing and
List Management organizations to enhance marketing programs through:
offer sequencing, elimination of conflicting offers, and improved
target modeling based on past contacts and responses.  As an
information technology leader, your responsibilities include:

* Act as a liaison between business units and technical staff on
  complex system and business process solutions.  You will perform
  interviews and research required to understand the business
  opportunity in depth.  As the liaison, you are responsible for the
  sizing the opportunity and getting budget approval of the proposed
  solution.

* During the Project Life Cycle, you are responsible for the business
  requirements, user acceptance testing, training, and final adoption
  and usage of the system.  You will act as a partner to IT
  professionals developing the technical requirements, logical model
  and provide support to the development staff for resolving design
  issues during the development process.

* Responsible for overall organizational information requirements.
  Conduct extensive interviews and meetings with representatives of
  the business units to determine information requirements and needs
  for enhancements.

* Work with core business teams to develop and share successful
  information technology and best practices across the organization.
  Serves as expert in high-level problem resolution of information
  system related issues.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or
  Operations.  Master's degree preferred.

* Extensive experience (5+ years) in information system planning,
  project management and system implementation.

* Proven skills in structured analysis and design and problem analysis
  and solution.

* Solid business understanding of revenue and cost drivers.

* Experience writing design or business specifications for systems development.

* Knowledge of Database Design tools such as ERWIN and VLDB design issues.

* Strong communication and presentation skills required.  Demonstrated
  leadership, critical.
