Personalising E-Commerce Using Web Mining

The Web Mining group in the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Ulster has established an EU funded Marie Curie Training Site called PERSONET. The aim of PERSONET is to provide training to PhD students from across Europe on "Personalising E-Commerce Using Web Mining".

Fellowships are available from 1st April 2001.

Individual Fellowships will be for three to twelve months in duration, and the last Fellowships must be completed by September 2004.

Fellowship start dates are negotiable, depending on the requested duration of the Fellowship, and vacancy availability.

Selected fellows will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant culture with opportunities for participating in theoretical training courses and gaining practical skills through working with a leading research team on EU funded projects, or with the web analytics company, MINEit Software Ltd.

Fellows would typically have an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in an IT or business related discipline and be currently undertaking a postgraduate research qualification related to e- commerce. Candidates specialising in Web Mining would be preferred. The University of Ulster endeavours to assure a fair female representation by promoting real equal access opportunities between men and women throughout the selection. Applications from females are particularly encouraged.

In accordance with the European Commission eligibility criteria, applicants must be nationals of a Member or Associated State, or residing in the Community for at least the last five years and must be pursuing doctoral studies in a subject area similar to that of the Training Site, in a country other than that of the Training Site.

An allowance of � 1200 per month is payable to each Fellow.
