StatSoft, Inc. recently announced the release of STATISTICA Web Server, an
add-on product available for its comprehensive and powerful STATISTICA line
of data analysis, data mining, and quality control software. STATISTICA Web
Server adds functionality for full Internet enablement to STATISTICA,
including the ability to run STATISTICA from a Web browser, and enables
users to easily and quickly access data and powerful analytical tools from
virtually any computer in the world as long as it is connected to the Web.

The product is provided with a selection of Internet browser user
interfaces (very simple to navigate and easy-to-use dialogs) allowing the
users to specify the analyses and review the results. Also, tools are
provided to customize these dialogs and easily set up new, customized user
interfaces. For example, an extremely simple dialog with only three buttons
can appear in the browser, where pressing each of the buttons will run a
series of analyses and generate a detailed report.

STATISTICA desktop and enterprise solutions already provide comprehensive
and user-friendly tools for automatically publishing
professionally-formatted reports on the Web. The addition of STATISTICA Web
Server further enhances any STATISTICA product with a number of advanced,
Web specific technologies that make using the comprehensive features in
STATISTICA products over the Internet faster and more compatible with
different Web server platforms.

In addition to sending output from analyses directly to a Web Server,
STATISTICA Web Server provides tools to set up very sophisticated,
automated systems to run scripts that can, for example, periodically draw
data from external sources, perform specific sets of analyses on them, and
update the HTML output on specified Web servers.

In addition, XML data input is supported by STATISTICA Web Server. This
feature allows users to read data stored in "proprietary" formats, where
the instructions regarding to how to read and encode the data are stored
with the data.
