Our client, a major financial services company with a $10 Billion portfolio of consumer loans is seeking a talented credit risk analyst to join to their acquisitions group. This area of the company has grown from 12 to 17 professionals in the past year. This growth is due to the success of their lending strategies and the analysis they perform on their portfolio. That's unusual when the rest of the world is laying people off.

The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, highly technical group, finding challenging work in a relaxed team atmosphere. Last year, this group was honored in Las Vegas for the impact their work had on company profitability. As a matter of fact, the company has had more than 40 consecutive quarters of record earnings. They read the markets well, and prepare for the next year' events. This year, they expected a downturn in the economy, and even with the events of September, they expect to meet shareholder expectations. So, job stability is a reality for this group.

We are looking for a person with good technical skills, proficient in SAS programming who can use their technical skills to get into the data and learn about the demographics of the database. They will use the information they learn to recommend changes in the underwriting of the loans so as to maximize profitability of the portfolio within guidelines of the parent. We really want to find someone who has credit risk skills as well as the technical skills.

To give you an idea about the group, the senior manager has been with this company since 1992 and has seen the business quadruple in that time. They are the type of company that different business units help each other as needed.

Our client believes in supporting their employees - offering training & career path development as part of their extensive benefit package. They have tuition reimbursement as part of their benefits programs, and regularly send their employees to additional training.
