The Vice President of Development will supervise over 100 people in of product development, custom applications, QA, and IT. This person needs to be very sharp technically, able to pick up new things and understand the technical components of an issue quickly.

Company: This high-tech company builds software for finding information from web and textual databases. They have excellent technology, solid financials, and are growing in the environment where other companies are laying off.

Location: This position is preferably located in Utah, but Pittsburgh location is also a possibilty.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years prior management experience at the Director level is a must, and prior management experience at the VP level is highly desired.
• Experience managing groups that shipped commercial code is required.
• Experience managing a custom-development or consulting group is highly desired.
• Experience managing a group that converted academic research and to a successful commercial product is highly desired.
• Experience managing a split-geographic groups is desired.
• Prior experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence is also highly desired.
• MS or PhD in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
