Nature and Lancet Endorse MIAME Standards for Microarray Experiments

BOSTON, Oct. 3 - GenomeWeb reports from the TIGR GSAC conference that The Nature journals and The Lancet have publicly endorsed data standards for microarray experiments proposed by the Microarray Gene Expression Data Society.

The journals will be making the MIAME (Minimum Information About a Microarray Experiment), a standard requirement for authors submitting microarray data for publication, according to Alvis Brazma, head of the microarray informatics group at the European Bioinformatics Institute.

According to Brazma, The Nature journals will also require submission of microarray data to a public database. Other journals, such as Cell, are also interested in following the standards.

Here is full story from Genomeweb.
