Subject: Wilmington, DE: Statistical Analyst/ Modeler at Bank One Card Services

The Decision Technologies group at Bank One is looking for analysts with M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, engineering, machine learning, signal processing, econometrics) with an orientation towards data mining to solve problems in consumer credit and financial services. Experience in any or all of the following is desired:

  • Modeling and analysis of very large data sets (via regression, neural networks, genetic algorithms, classification trees, etc.);
  • Experimental design;
  • Data base management (using Oracle SQL or other query language);
  • Optimization and simulation.
Good programming (e.g., C/C++ or Java) and Unix scripting skills (e.g., Perl) are desired, as is experience with stat packages (e.g., SAS, S-plus, Matlab). Business experience is preferred but is not necessary. Strong communication and presentation skills are required, as is attention to detail.
