Subject: Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Montana State University

The Computer Science Department consists of approximately 350 students (300 undergraduates and 50 graduate students) and 13 full-time faculty and professional staff. In addition to an ABET accredited Bachelors degree, the Department offers Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science. The department has experienced strong enrollment growth in the last ten years and is transitioning towards a greater research focus, while maintaining high teaching standards.

Montana State University - Bozeman, with an enrollment of approximately 12,000, is located in Bozeman, a Rocky Mountain community of 40,000 situated between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Bozeman is served by four national airlines. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound, ranging from hiking and fishing in the summer, to cross-country and downhill skiing in the winter, all within minutes of downtown. Bozeman enjoys first-rate schools and medical services comparable to much larger communities, and offers a unique combination of cultural opportunities, excellent restaurants, and small-town charm

MSU ranks sixth in the country for universities with the most students who have received the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship, given for excellence in math and science. MSU students have earned 40 Goldwater awards, more than students from Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Yale and other top schools.
