Responsibilities:

This person will be part of a team designing, developing, and maintaining SAS Text Miner software. This software is statistical in nature and requires expertise in developing algorithms for natural language understanding, information retrieval, text summarization, and/or text categorization and clustering.

Requirements:

• Masters or Ph.D. Degree in a Quantitative Field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics);
• At least 3 years software development experience in C, C++, or Java;
• Experience developing text analysis applications;
• Superior verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Experience with networking applications and parallel processing;
• Experience with Perl or other scripting languages;
• Experience with the SAS language.
