Data Mining Analyst

Responsible for perform data mining, data compilation, and data analysis on the subject areas of Customer Program Management, Service Activation, and Service Management. Includes reporting, programming, data mining, data analysis, process and procedure development. The successful individual will develop and manage the data solutions to meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure integrity of data (within data base and results of reports).
• Develops predictive models, performs data mining and decisions support activities as related to the Customer Base and Marketing initiatives.
• Provide primary support in development of new forecasting requests. Use data information and develop the data information to perform productivity assessments, what if scenarios, and related analysis (results, profiling, & modeling activities) on a periodic basis as they apply to the support of strategic and tactical program planning.
• Provides forecasting support for customer management programs by improving and growing the intelligence & functionality of INFONXX databases, including external data evaluation and derived elements gleaned from internal sources.
• Utilization of internal and external data, management of data processing resources, and results generation and analysis to recommend and establish procedures to improve reporting results (including identification of targets)
• Performs statistical model development and analysis (including regression analysis, algorithmic model development, creation and interpretation) within a complex, multi-system analytic environment.
• Investigate and resolve any errors or inconsistencies in the data sources.
• Analyze data and recognize patterns and trends, focusing on areas where improvements need to be implemented.
• Manages and develops the analysis, profiling and modeling activities as they apply to the support of strategic and tactical program planning. Includes market analysis and subsequent identification of target, target list creation, utilization of internal and external data, management of data processing resources, and results generation and analysis.
• Analyze data from multiple sources and prepare analysis reports pertaining to specific problems.
• Monitor, analyze, and identify improvement opportunities for carrier and vendor management.
• Create executive-level presentation materials detailing results and conclusions of analysis efforts.

• MBA required
• Prefer at least 2 years in telecommunications or wireless industry.
• Experience working with many data sources.
• At least 2 years experience in an analytical function with statistical development, interpretation and analysis, and quantitative reporting and analysis.
• Solid organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills in order to achieve working relationships and build consensus across a matrix organization.
• Ability to perform business analysis, lead projects, initiate new projects, present project information and status to upper management, write requirements, and multi-task across a multi-operation environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and quickly generate results.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity coupled with keen analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with SQL, database concepts, and text parsing
• Experience with the development of reporting tools.
• Ability to work in an intense, deadline driven environment.
• Must have a background in reporting and analysis and or database management.
• Superior planning, quantitative, technical and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of call center technology systems
• Statistical analysis such as correlation models and regression analysis.
• Experience with and management of systems design, data modeling, data warehousing, file production, statistical model construction, and database program maintenance.
