Primary Job Responsibilities
This role will be part of the Activation Marketing team at eBay Canada. This team is responsible for increasing User activation (both buying and selling) through optimal targeting, messaging, and education. All members of the team work collaboratively with all functional areas at eBay Canada including Seller Development, Product, Finance, and Communications. The team is highly entrepreneurial and this role will evolve over time to respond to eBay's changing business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage CRM activities that increase User activation levels on the eBay platform which may include:

• Conducting market research to identify actionable user segments and barriers to activation
• Prioritizing target segments and key messages to stimulate activation
• Modeling segmentations based on User datasets
• Creating comprehensive communication plans to achieve targeted goals
• Working with the broader Activation team on communication plan implementation
• Managing the inventory of impressions through all available marketing channels
• Analyzing communication plan and messaging effectiveness
• Coordinating activation analysis with the analytics team (part of Finance)
• Leading key ad hoc projects to drive increased activation among target segments

• Minimum of five years experience in a high-performance business environment
• Background at a top-tier marketing organization, direct marketing agency, or consultancy strongly preferred
• Strong analytical skill set and proven ability to generate business unit strategy
• Experience working on brand marketing and stewardship initiatives
• Proven ability to take action and achieve results against targeted metrics
• Skill and confidence in dealing with people at all levels of the organization
• Strong academic profile from a leading institution
• Fluency in French (written and oral) is preferred
• A passion for understanding and serving the unique community of eBay
• Previous experience trading on eBay (buying and/or selling) is highly desirable
