Subject: Schaumburg, IL: Sr. Statistical Analyst at Experian

Experian, a global leader in providing information solutions to organizations and consumers, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Statistical Analyst to join our Business Strategies analytical team located in Schaumburg.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for building statistical models to support the direct marketing efforts of our cooperative database customers. Experian�s cooperative databases include solutions for consumer catalog, B2B, and publishing companies. Responsibilities include building prospect, response, and reactivation models that allow our customers execute profitable direct marketing campaigns. A proven ability to creatively address these types of problems while taking into account the customers� type business and the available data is highly desired. While predominantly an analytical position, the individual will be expected to interact with Experian sales and client staff.

Requires a BA/BS in Statistics/related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years' related experience with at least 2 years' experience programming SAS and writing SAS macros.

Qualified candidates will have experience working in UNIX and IBM Mainframe environments; strong knowledge of statistical modeling applications; proven experience with statistical/data mining techniques (i.e. linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, clustering, factor, boosting methods); and proven ability to take atomic level data and prepare aggregated datasets for modeling. A good understanding of technical issues associated with database modeling and experience and strong interpersonal, presentation, communication skills, and outstanding attention to detail essential.

Master's degree and/or experience with SPSS and Clementine, experience dealing with large data volumes, and/or experience in catalog or retail industry is a plus.
